What is the Apprentice Ambassador Program? Each year, a cohort of star apprentices and apprentice graduates is selected to join this professional development program. The goal is to train Ambassadors to feature at business engagement events and in promotional media campaigns. The greatest selling point for apprenticeship is your story. You will receive monthly training in public speaking, leadership skills, public relations, financial literacy, and related areas during your one-year tenure. To ensure you are supported, you are also strategically paired with a mentor, a member of the Work-Based Learning and Apprenticeship (WBLA) Committee of the Illinois Workforce Innovation Board (IWIB). Each Ambassador is also to enlist a member of their employer, their "employer sponsor," who will tag along for the journey and ensure that your message aligns with your company's values.
