2026 Workforce Empowerment Initiative Symposium (WEI)

Join the Illinois Community College Board (ICCB) and representatives from 20 participating colleges on the Workforce Empowerment Initiative (WEI) as they share their effective strategies to expand workforce training opportunities to underserved communities in Illinois. The Symposium is open to all Illinois community colleges, state agencies, WEI community-based partners, employer partners, and Illinois legislative representatives.

The WEI Symposium will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2026 with an opening reception on the evening of May 27, 2026. Current WEI Colleges are also invited to a Consortium Meeting on May 27, 12:30 – 4:00 pm.

This is a free event, but registration is required as space is limited. For organizations outside of the WEI Consortium, we recommend limiting registrations to up to four individuals per outside organization.
