Strategies At Work Conference: Request for Presentation (RFP)

The Illinois Community College Board is pleased to invite you to STRATEGIES AT WORK- Illinois Community College Board’s FIRST state-wide noncredit workforce training conference. STRATEGIES AT WORK- is designed to showcase and share the invaluable work that the Illinois community colleges’ noncredit programs provide to Illinois communities, employers, and students. As the largest workforce training provider in the state much of the Illinois Community College System workforce training is through the noncredit work of the community colleges. Furthermore, noncredit programs, one of many community college functions, allow colleges to remain nimble and prompt when addressing employer needs. During this conference, attendees can explore topics such as: Strategies at work with employers, Strategies at work within your community, Strategies at work within your college, and Strategies at work for non-credit basics.

Request for Presentations
• Each presentation request requires a separate submission.
• Presentations are approximately 60 minutes in length. An ideal session includes 45 minutes of content and 15 minutes for questions and answers.
• Presentations must be submitted by November 11, 2024

We are seeking presentations that address one or more of these themes:


- Strategies at Work With Employers

Includes business solutions, customized training, partnerships and collaboration with businesses, apprenticeships, work-based learning opportunities and sector-based specific practices.

- Strategies at Work Within Your Community

Includes open enrollment, community education, community partnership and sector-based strategies.

- Strategies at Work Within Your College

Includes registration and data systems, collaboration among divisions, best practices for integration into the college.

- Strategies at Work for Non-Credit Basics

Includes funding, success strategies, marketing and small business development centers.
