Ambassador Employer Application Agreement

As a representative of my organization, I agree to the statement and conditions below in supporting our apprentice/graduate as an Apprentice Ambassador for the Illinois Workforce Innovation Board Apprenticeship Committee:

1. As the Apprenticeship Ambassador Employer, I agree to support the apprentice’s participation in the Illinois Workforce Innovation Board (IWIB) Apprenticeship Committee’s Apprentice Workgroup as an Apprentice Ambassador. “Support” will include following:
a. Providing adequate leave (paid or unpaid) for required meetings as listed in the calendar.

2. As the Apprenticeship Ambassador Employer, I understand that I will be invited to in-person meetings and may be invited to join industry groups or other Apprenticeship events, where appropriate. I may choose to attend if my schedule permits.

3. As the Apprenticeship Employer Ambassador, I understand that the Apprenticeship Employer Ambassador’s name, company name, company logo, and photo will be publicized on the www.ApprenticeshipIllinois.com website and included in press releases. Success stories highlighting the apprentice/graduate and their apprenticeship experience may also be featured on the website and shared with State leadership.

4. As the Apprenticeship Employer Ambassador, I understand that the IWIB Apprenticeship Committee may invite me or my organization to speak at events along with their apprentice/graduate, to share the Employer’s perspective.

5. As the Apprenticeship Employer Ambassador, I affirm that our apprenticeship program is either registered with the U.S. Department of Labor or it meets the following criteria:
a. The program employs and pays the apprentice for fulltime work with a structured on-the-job learning plan,
b. The program is at least one-year in length,
c. The program provides the apprentice with a mentor, and
d. The program has supplemental coursework or training in addition to the on-the-job learning.
(This option can be waived if an apprentice graduate has transferred to a company that does not have an apprenticeship program.)

By entering your name below, you are aware of your apprentice's application to the Apprentice Ambassador Program and are committed to supporting them should they be chosen for a 13-month term, from December 2024 – December 2025.
