Core Expectations For An Apprentice Ambassador:
• Apprentice Ambassadors will commit for a one-year term, with the term beginning December 2024 and ending December 2025.
• Ambassadors will be expected to attend all events highlighted in yellow in the calendar of events below.
o *Note: If possible, employers are asked to sponsor the travel costs for the Apprentice Ambassadors. If the employer is unable to cover any or all travel costs, the State may reimburse Apprentice Ambassadors for travel costs for required events. The travel costs for required events may be reimbursed once filing proper travel documentation, but the ambassador will need to pay these costs up front or have them covered by their employer. Training on allowable costs and how to submit expenses for reimbursement will be provided.
• Apprentice Ambassadors will have their photo, name, title, the name of their Apprenticeship employer, and the employer’s logo publicized on the www.ApprenticeshipIllinois.com website and included in press releases.
• Apprentice Ambassadors will be expected to share their perspectives on Apprenticeship programs and their own experiences.
• Apprentice Ambassadors are expected to maintain professionalism, open communication, and transparency with their Apprenticeship employer with respect to their participation in this Initiative.
